The pitcher is a hand thrown stoneware piece with a smooth, off-white glaze. It features a delicate, etched design of wheat stalks and leaves on one side, adding a rustic charm. The handle is sturdy and curves gracefully, complementing the rounded body and slightly flared spout. The accompanying plate is also a hand thrown stoneware piece, matching the pitcher’s off-white color with a similar glazed finish. It has a slightly irregular, handcrafted edge with subtle brown accents, enhancing its artisanal look.

These pieces, crafted by The Potter’s Wife Pottery (PWP), is a party dish set featuring a small bowl and a divided tray. The bowl, with a matte, earthy gray-brown glaze and a slightly scalloped rim, is perfect for holding dips or sauces. Where the Inspiration Happens!
The Potter’s Wife Pottery (PWP) is nestled in a picturesque rural setting near Tupelo, Mississippi, in Monroe County, close to Nettleton, where the landscape exudes a rustic charm that inspires its handcrafted pottery. This aerial view reveals a serene expanse of agricultural fields and ponds, with vast, uneven farmland stretching across the horizon, punctuated by clusters of lush green trees and natural vegetation. The homestead, features a farmhouse with a green roof and a smaller outbuilding where the clay comes to life and sits on a grassy plot, connected by a gravel driveway that adds to the unpolished, earthy ambiance. The nearby ponds (once used for raising farm fresh catfish) are framed by wild growth and suggest a natural connection to the land, while the open skies and distant tree lines enhance the tranquil, pastoral feel. This rugged, natural setting, rich with texture and simplicity, perfectly complements the artisanal, rustic aesthetic of PWP’s pottery creations.
